"I can't believe I made this myself — it looks like something from a boutique gift shop." — TikTok comment, @bondcraftorofficial UV resin wine glass tutorial
You've seen those gorgeous bejeweled champagne flutes all over TikTok — covered in crushed gems, tiny flowers, and pearls that catch the light like something out of a fairy tale. Here's the secret: they're easier to make than they look, and you only need UV resin and a few decorations.
No molds. No mixing. No 24-hour wait. Just a clean glass, some UV resin, your choice of gems, and a UV lamp — and you're done in under half an hour. This is the exact technique from our viral TikTok tutorial, broken down step by step.
What You'll Need
UV resin (Hard Type, clear) — Bond Craftor Clear UV Resin
Champagne flute or wine glass — clean and dry
Crushed gems / crystal chips — your choice of colors
Small accent decorations — resin roses, pearls, rhinestones
Fine-tip brush or applicator tip
UV lamp — 36W+, 365–405nm
Tweezers — for placing accents
Disposable gloves
Before you start: Wipe the outside of the glass with isopropyl alcohol and let it fully dry. Any grease or fingerprint oil will stop the resin from sticking.
Safety note: UV resin should only be used as an exterior decoration on wine glasses. Do not apply resin to the inside of the glass, the drinking rim, or any area that may touch wine or the mouth.

Step 01 / 06
Prep Your Workspace
Put on nitrile gloves and cover your table with paper, a silicone mat, or a tray. This catches excess glitter or gems so you can reuse them later. Hold the wine glass by the stem to avoid fingerprints on the decorating area.
💡 Make sure the glass is completely clean and dry before adding resin. Dust, oil, or water can weaken the bond.
Step 02 / 06
Apply a Thin Layer of UV Resin
Squeeze a small amount of UV resin onto a brush or silicone tool. Spread it onto the outside of the glass in a thin, even layer. Work in a small section instead of coating the whole glass at once.
💡 Keep the layer about as thin as a coat of nail polish. Thick resin can drip and may not cure completely.

Step 03 / 06
Add Glitter, Gems, or Decorations
While the resin is still wet, sprinkle fine glitter, crushed gems, rhinestones, or small decorative pieces onto the coated area. Gently press them into the resin with a gloved fingertip or tweezers.
💡 Avoid using too much opaque pigment or heavy mica powder — it can block UV light and leave resin sticky underneath.

Step 04 / 06
Cure Under a UV Lamp
Hold the UV lamp close to the decorated section and cure according to your resin instructions. Slowly rotate the glass so the light reaches every angle, especially around gems or raised decorations.

Step 05 / 06
Decorate the Stem or Base
Apply UV resin to the stem or base if you want extra sparkle. Add pearls, rhinestones, resin flowers, or crushed gems, then cure until everything feels hard and secure.
💡 The stem and base are usually the safest areas for UV resin decoration because they stay away from wine and the mouth.

Step 06 / 06
Final Cure and Finish
Do one final full cure, rotating the glass slowly under the UV lamp. Check all decorated areas with a gloved fingertip. The resin should feel hard, secure, and non-sticky before use.
