Yes, Bond Craftor epoxy resin is food - safe once fully cured. It adheres to strict global food - contact safety standards and has been verified by independent testing labs. When cured properly following our guidelines, it forms a non - reactive, stable matrix that prevents any harmful substances from migrating into food. This makes it reliable for creating items like snack trays, drink coasters, or other food - touching crafts.
It adheres well to most clean, dry, and non-porous surfaces, including wood, glass, metal, ceramic, stone, and some plastics (test a small area first). For porous materials like unsealed wood, seal the surface with a thin layer of resin or primer first to prevent air bubbles.
Our epoxy resin is formulated with UV-resistant additives to minimize yellowing. While no epoxy is 100% yellow-proof, it resists discoloration from sunlight and heat better than standard resins, making it suitable for indoor and covered outdoor use (avoid prolonged direct sunlight for long-term clarity).
Yes, once fully cured, it’s water-resistant and weather-resistant (resistant to rain, humidity, and mild temperature fluctuations). For outdoor items like garden decor or patio tables, ensure full curing (72+ hours) and consider a UV-protective topcoat for extended exposure to sunlight.
Store unopened resin and hardener in a cool, dry place (15–25°C/59–77°F) away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Keep them tightly sealed to prevent moisture absorption. When stored properly, they have a shelf life of 12–18 months from the manufacture date.
