Taba Squishy Making Kit FAQ

Find quick answers before you start making your own soft and satisfying Taba squishies.

What is included in the Taba Squishy Making Kit?
The kit includes 21 oz of two-part liquid silicone, silicone molds, pigment pastes, flocking powder, measuring cups, stirring sticks, gloves, Vaseline, storage bags, decorative accessories, and instructions.
How do I mix the liquid silicone?
Measure Part A and Part B at a strict 1:1 ratio by volume or weight. Mix thoroughly for 3–5 minutes until the two components are evenly combined.
How long does the Taba squishy take to cure?
The silicone normally cures in approximately 2–4 hours at room temperature around 25°C (77°F). Actual curing time may vary depending on the size and thickness of the squishy.
Can I add color to the silicone before pouring?
Yes. Add a small amount of the included pigment paste or another silicone-compatible pigment and mix thoroughly. Do not use epoxy resin pigments, water-based pigments, or standard paint.
Do I need to apply Vaseline to the mold?
It is not always required, but applying a thin layer of Vaseline inside the mold can make demolding easier and help protect delicate details.
Why is my finished squishy sticky or oily?
Stickiness may occur if the silicone has not fully cured, the 1:1 mixing ratio is incorrect, or the mixture was not stirred evenly. Allow additional curing time, and apply a moderate amount of flocking powder after curing to reduce surface stickiness.
How should I clean the silicone molds?
Clean residue promptly using warm water, mild detergent, and a soft brush, cotton swab, sponge, or soft toothbrush. Avoid sharp tools that may scratch or damage the mold.
How should I store the finished Taba squishies?
Finished squishies can easily attract dust and lint. Keep them in the included sealed bags and store them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and high temperatures.
Can this liquid silicone be used for making molds?
No. This liquid silicone is formulated for making soft Taba squishies and should not be used as a mold-making silicone.
What safety precautions should I follow?
Do not ingest the materials. Work in a well-ventilated area, protect the work surface, and wear gloves if you have sensitive skin. Children should use the kit only under adult supervision.
