0A Liquid Silicone Rubber FAQ
Find quick answers before you start your mold-making project.
What is 0A liquid silicone rubber used for?
It's a two-component liquid silicone rubber elastomer designed for pour-molding applications that need high softness, good rebound, and a comfortable feel—commonly used for adult product molds and mold-making applications. Its ultra-soft 0A hardness makes it ideal for replicating fine textures and complex shapes.
How do I use this liquid silicone rubber?
Combine Part A and Part B in a 1:1 ratio by weight or volume. Stir gently to avoid introducing air bubbles, then pour over your model within the 30-minute working window. Let it cure undisturbed at room temperature for about 4 hours before demolding.
Why is 0A hardness important for mold making?
0A is one of the softest silicone hardness ratings—similar to human skin. This softness lets the mold flex and peel away from fine details and deep undercuts without tearing or needing to be cut open.
Can I reuse this silicone mold multiple times?
Yes. With ≥2 MPa tensile strength and ≥300% elongation, molds made with this silicone rubber are tear-resistant and hold up to repeated use without losing detail or shape.
Is this product suitable for material other than the intended application?
Given the wide range of material grades, we recommend verifying compatibility before pouring onto other materials. Please do not use this product for implantation or injection inside the human body.
How long does it take to cure?
At room temperature, it fully cures in approximately 4 hours. Curing time may vary slightly depending on the thickness of the mold and ambient temperature.
Can I add color to the silicone before pouring?
Yes. Silicone-specific color paste can be added while mixing Part A and Part B, typically at 2%–4% of the total mix volume, to create a custom-colored mold.
How should I store unused liquid silicone rubber?
Keep it sealed in its original container, stored below 35°C (95°F) and out of direct sunlight. Properly stored, it remains usable for 12 months from the production date.
